Meet Our Practitioners
Yong Wang, R.TCMP, R.Ac., BMSc
Yong received his Bachelor of Medicine degree in Acupuncture and Moxibustion from Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1998 after five years of intensive study and substantial training. He also holds one Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner diploma from Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
He practiced Acupuncture and Chinese traditional medicine for more than twenty years, respectively, in two hospitals (Taian Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University) as an acupuncturist and traditional Chinese medicine doctor before he immigrated to Canada in 2017.
Yong is registered with CTCMA (College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists) in British Columbia and CTCPMAO (The College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario) in Ontario.
Outside of work, Yong is the father of two teenage boys, who help him discover the awe of life. He loves spending time with his family, hiking, cooking, playing board games, and listening to music together.


Lihua Yang, Ph.D., MSW, RSW
Lihua holds a Master of Social Work degree from Wilfrid Laurier University. She is a registered social worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and a member of the Canadian Association of Social Workers. She also holds a Ph. D. in political science from Shandong University (China). Lihua teaches at the Faculty of Social Work, Wilfrid Laurier University.
She has been teaching and working in higher education since 2003. She has extensive experience working with young people, helping them navigate opportunities and challenges of life transitions and promoting psychological flexibility and mental health.
Lihua completed the professional training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Suicide Interventions, and Trauma Counselling. Lihua enjoys working with students, young adults, and families. She is passionate about creating a welcoming, collaborative space where people feel safe enough to be vulnerable. She appreciates that trust takes time and thus prioritizes her client’s needs and goals to ensure safety, comfort, and progress.
Lihua is no longer accepting clients, unfortunately.
